A quick review of just some of the events so far this year.
Bishop Blaise Festival
First event of the year was the Bishop Blaise festival at Bradford Industrial Museum.

The first demonstration and sales event of the year, and it’s good that it’s held on home ground. Happily, the weather was much kinder to us last weekend than it had been in December and the event went very well, with plenty of sales by members and a constant stream of visitors to watch what we do, have a go
and generally chat to. Thank you as always to our volunteers.

Spring Into Wool
Back after a year’s break was Spring Into Wool held at Leeds Grammar School. This is a two day event filled with all sorts of wool-related goods and workshops.
BWSD volunteers had a demonstration table on both the Saturday and Sunday. Lots of interested and interesting people stopped to talk with us.

Leeds Woolfest at Leeds Industrial Museum

This yearly event held in the interesting Leeds Industrial Museum where we share a space with the Spinners of Aire, who meet each Wednesday at the museum.
Burley-in-Wharfedale Arts Festival

This year we were invited to the Burley-in-Wharfedale Arts festival, to spend an afternoon in the library with some other textile groups. We brought a selection of items demonstrating our crafts of weaving, spinning and dyeing, along with our spinning wheels, both traditional and electric.
