I dyed the cotton fabric with rooibos for the pinkish beige shade of the paper.

Threads are handspun viscose and cotton hand dyed with procion dyes.

Inspiration

I was inspired by a piece of blotting paper found in Frank Hopkinson’s student workbook with the handwritten note from one student to another, and the dots and lines blotted from the student’s work. It is a small slice of the lives of the past college students.
